Looking for a day full of adventure near Panama City? Bayano Adventure Park has plenty to offer! This lake was formed in 1976, when the Bayano River was dammed to create a hydroelectric power plant. It is located approximately an hour and a half away by car, or two hours by bus, from Panama City. Lake Bayano is primarily known for the Bayano Caves, as well as for the indigenous Embera communities that reside in the area.
Bayano Adventure Park covers 20 hectares near Lake Bayano, providing private access to the water. Swimming is allowed, so visitors are encouraged to bring swimwear. Kayaks and pedal boats can be used to reach a private island on the lake, which hosts events and camping. The park features a dinosaur-themed attraction with trails on the mainland, as well as routes inspired by Jurassic and pirate themes, alongside nature trails where hikers may observe monkeys. Floating walkways connect several small islands in the lake.
For those interested in outdoor activities, the park includes a ropes course and a climbing wall. There are ziplines suitable for both adults and children, which allow for a thrilling ride ending in a splash in the lake. The site offers various photo spots, such as a large chair with wings and the park’s sign, and includes a petting zoo for children. Horseback rides are also available for an additional fee. The park is designed to educate children about local flora and fauna while providing adults with an opportunity to enjoy nature.
Bayano Adventure Park serves as a venue for workshops and can accommodate larger groups. Facilities include restrooms with showers, and cabins are available for guests. It is important to note that electricity supply is limited.

What to bring? Sneakers or hiking boots, flip flops, bathing suit, change of clothes, towel, comfortable clothes preferably long pants, rain jacket or waterproof bag (green season), insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, ID and camera.
Important information: Children under 4 years old enter Bayano Adventure Park for free. There are different rates for children aged 5 to 12, as well as a separate rate for teenagers (aged 13 to 17). Guides are not bilingual; if you would like a bilingual guide, an additional fee will apply.
Transportation from Panama City to Bayano can be provided via car, van (Hiace-style), minibus (Coaster-style), or bus, depending on the size of your group. You may also travel on your own—by private vehicle or bus—and we will provide you with the necessary directions.
