Description
Gamboa Aerial Tram is the only tram that passes above the rainforest. Travel 600 meters aboard a gondola that goes through the trees letting you have a completely different viewpoint than from the ground. During your journey you will be able to see plenty of birds which nest in the treetops, as well as sloths and several species of monkeys. An audio guide will explain the local flora and fauna as well as information about the area.
At the end of the Gamboa Aerial Tram you will reach Pelado (Bare) Hill. Take a small walk along a trail to get to an enormous observation tower that is 30 meters high. Going up the nine levels is optional, but it is quite easy and even people in wheelchairs can go up its ramps.
The top of the observation deck has incredible 360º views of the Soberania National Park including some indigenous Embera communities that live in the area.
