Important information: pick-up and drop-off is available from most hotels in Panama City. There is a surcharge of $8 per person for cruise ship guests, payable to the drive at the terminal. Visitors staying in Playa Bonita must take a taxi or an uber to the Plaza de la Independencia by the Panama Canal Museum in Casco Viejo. Those who are staying in a hotel in Costa del Este or Santa Maria or are coming from Tocumen International airport can start the tour at the Sortis Hotel in Obarrio.
The Classic Convertible Car Tour of Panama City is done in a VW Safari vehicle which is not air-conditioned. The windows and even the windshield can be put down in case of heat. If there is rain, the top will put up so the tour can continue.
