Description
The best way to see Panama City is from the Pacific Ocean! Panama City Kayaking allows you to see the modern skyline of Panama City which is constantly evolving. Panama City has 23 of the 45 tallest buildings in Latin America. People like to compare Panama City to Dubai or Miami because of all the tall buildings next to the ocean.
The Panama City Kayaking has two options: sunrise or sunset. Paddling will always be done with high tide which can reach up to 18 feet, which avoids having to walk on rocks. There will be a safety briefing before the tour starts where paddling techniques will be explained. This takes about 30 minutes before the paddling starts. No previous experience is necessary since there are no strong currents.
Those who pick the sunrise kayak tour will start at 5:30 a.m. or earlier at the Santo Domingo beach in Casco Viejo. Panama City Kayaking at sunset starts from the Punta Paitilla Park at 4 p.m. Those that pick the sunset tour will end in Casco Viejo where they can go see the sunset in a rooftop bar or have dinner in a restaurant in Casco Viejo.
Paddling across the bay takes between 45 to 60 minutes. Views include Punta Paitilla and Punta Pacifica, followed by the Cinta Costera or Avenida Balboa. In the distance there is the Island of Taboga, Amador Islands and Causeway and the vessels waiting to enter the Panama Canal. The end of the journey is Casco Viejo where you will go around Las Bovedas Monument to reach Santo Domingo beach. Or vice versa if you take a sunrise tour.
